Wedding Toast Illuminated Framed Print

For centuries, prior to the invention of the printing press, monastic artists had been hand lettering, illuminating and painting books and scrolls on parchment. The most significant illuminated manuscript in the world, The Book of Kells, was produced by Irish monks. In the tradition of the Book of Kells, Celtic artist Kevin Dillon has rediscovered the same medieval techniques used by these monks. This particular print features a charming wedding toast from the film “Leap Year,” starring Amy Adams.

This 8 x 10 reproduction of the original manuscript bears the artist’s wax signature seal.  Double matted in green/gold in a gilded gold vine frame.  Prints come with both an easel back and wall hanger for display versatility.  “About the Artist”, a descriptive account of this unique art form, accompanies each print.
