Fitting:

Fittings are done at our Annapolis MD location. Group fittings should take place three months prior to the event if possible to ensure everyone’s size is available for the day required. During the fitting, our expert staff will make sure you understand the proper way to wear the kilt. Group fittings should be scheduled in advance. We can usually accommodate single person walk in fittings.

The original Great Kilt was made from wool, often grown on one’s own sheep. They measured approximately 9 yards of fabric and when one wanted a full kilt, he would order “the whole nine yards.” Hence the saying. Today’s kilts are much more refined fashion so you will look great. Irish Traditions rental kilts are made by the internationally renowned House of Edgar in Perth, Scotland.

Our rental kilts are made of four to five yards of 13-ounce fabric woven to the highest standard. This style of the kilt is perfect to ensure comfort in our climate. We offer a variety of Made to Measure custom kilts for sale in your choice of Tartan. These are all made in Scotland with an average 16 week lead time.
